Thought I would post that I'm wrapping up a three week training class for Design Engineering.  This is a class that I had to take as part of my job.  It was really hard being gone during the week, but I was able to come home on weekends.  The class caused me excrutiating pain, but I did learn a few things.  It is amazing how fast the telecommunications buisness is moving.  For example, we are currently designing fiber optic cable to the customers house!  We are offering television through phone lines and with the new U-VERSE service you could log into your cable tuner and program it from the internet.

 

Below, you will find a piece written by Charles Schultz forwarded to me by Brad Sullivan, a friend of mine who works for at&t. Definitely holds true for me.....

I built a robot (seen in the pictures) and has sensers like movment sencers light sencers and can tell the distance to the end of the house hallway. I can prgram it to where it can talk move to where i want it to. I made it all by my self and it works great. It also has a big claw that can pick stuff up. It also has a color sencer that can tell what color is what. I think that was awsome.
