We were fortunate to be able to attend the Texas Bowl in Houston on 12/31 and to meet up with 3 of Mike's USNA classmates and their wives. We provided the beef for that night and it was great just sitting around visiting until the wee hours of the night.  The game was good and the New Year's Eve party was a blast.  We spent a few hours in Galveston since we wanted to check out the places we have been in the past and to see if they have been rebuilt after the hurricane.  Quite of few places are back but some are not.  The 61st street pier where Simon would spend all his time fishing and catching crabs is gone but I think they are planning to rebuilt it at some point.
